ELECTION FOR PEOPLE’S REPRESENTATIVES
The National Congress of Italian-Canadians (QC) will be holding its election
for representatives on March 9, 2011, at the Leonardo Da Vinci Center
(8370, boul. Lacordaire, St-Léonard, second floor) at 7 P.M.
The candidates must be residents of the following regions:
La Mauricie : (1 representant)
Trois Rivières, Shawinigan, Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Louisville.
Cantons de l’Est : (1 representative)
Sherbrooke, St-Jean, Drummondville, Mégantic, Magog, Huntington
Rive-Sud : (2 representatives)
Boucherville, St-Bruno, Delson, Greenfield Park, Laflêche, St-Constant,
St-Hubert, Brossard, St-Lambert, Longueil, La Prairie, Candiac, Chateauguay
Lac St-Jean Sept-Iles : (1 representative)
Chicoutimi, Arvida, Kénogami, Jonquière, Sept-Iles, Côte Gaspé
City of Québec : (1 representative)
Québec, Lévis, Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré, Beauport, Lauzon, Ste-Foy
Island of Laval : (2 representatives)
Chomedey, Duvernay, Saint-Vincent-de-Paul,Ste-Thérèse de Blainville,
Ste-Rose, Fabreville
Island of Montréal : (12 representatives in the East and 8 in the West)
The St-Laurent boulevard designates the East from the West.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
All Italian men and women or Canadians of Italian origin, who are 18 years of age
or older, and who are in agreement with the Congress rules and objectives,
will automatically be members and will be represented at the annual general assembly.
Only residents in the region will be eligible to vote for the candidates representing
each said region. Electoral officers reserve the right to ask for proof of residence,
if necessary. The list of candidates will be posted in the election room, as well as
announced in the media.
