The National Congress of Italian-Canadians, Québec chapter, wishes to announce that the elections for the representatives of the people will be held on Monday, October 30th at 7PM at the Leonardo da Vinci Centre (8370, boul. Lacordaire, St Léonard, second floor)  All persons age 18 and over and of italian origin may exercice their right to vote. The 28 elected representatives must be residents of the following districts :

 

  1. La Mauricie (1): Trois-Rivières, Shawinigan, Cap-de-la-madeleine, Louiseville.

 

  1. Eastern Townships (1): Sherbrooke, St Jean, Drummondville, Mégantic, Magog, Huntington.


  1. South Shore (2): Boucherville, St Bruno, Delson, Greenfield Park, Laflêche, St Constant, St Hubert, Brossard, St Lambert, Longueuil, La Prairie, Candiac, Châteauguay.

 

  1. West Island (1): Beaconsfield, Pointe-Claire, Pierrefonds, Baie D’Urfé, Kirkland, Île Bizard, Ste Anne, Roxboro, Dollard Des Ormeaux.

 

  1. Lac St Jean, Sept-Îles (1): Chicoutimi, Arvida, Kénogami, Jonquière, Sept-Îles, Côte Gaspé.

 

  1. City of Québec (Surroundings) (1): Québec, Lévis, St Anne de Beaupré, Beauport, Lauzon, St Foy.

 

  1. Island of Laval (2): Chomedey, Duvernay, Saint Vincent de Paul, St Thérèse de Blainville, Ste Rose, Fabreville.

St. Laurent Street. South and North will determine the East and West of the Island of Montreal.

Only residents from each district may vote for their candidate.  The scruteneer may request proof of residence.
